As avid readers of the CMMC Information Institute’s content, you know that CMMC requires much more than simply checking a few boxes on a spreadsheet. It requires purposeful culture change and thoughtful execution of those changes.

It used to be that cybersecurity was applied to your IT infrastructure after the fact. CMMC requires a culture change and application of cybersecurity controls across the entire organization. This means organizational leadership has to be involved, including driving the corresponding culture changes that result in the necessary evidence and artifacts being created as you go, not pieced together after the fact.

We know this takes careful planning, and that regardless of where you are in your compliance journey, you probably have implementation-specific questions that never seem to be addressed by the myriad of high-level CMMC webinars. That is why we are proud to announce the CMMC Implementation Conference 2023, which will be held in January 2023 at the beautiful campus of the University of San Diego.

CIC2023 Conference Summary

CIC2023 isn’t just another CMMC conference full of the same old lectures.  This conference is focused on efficient, sustainable cybersecurity and compliance implementation.  Thought leaders from across the industry will use a combination of hands-on learning, workshops, and interactive presentations to give you the confidence you need to tackle CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and much more.  Plus, our Expo will feature some of the leading tool and service providers in the industry to help you compare their offerings side-by-side. It’s time to Stop Talking.  Start Doing.  That process starts by attending CIC2023.

CIC2023 Sessions

At CIC2023, you will learn tips and techniques to help you tackle CMMC head-on and stay ahead of your competitors and our nation’s cyber adversaries. The Chatham House Rule will be in effect, all sessions are “off the record,” and we will not be streaming any of the sessions, meaning you can openly share ideas, ask questions, and most importantly, say “I need help” and “I don’t know”, without fear of attribution.

With separate tracks for contractor organization executives and owners; service provider (e.g., C3PAOs, RPOs, MSPs, MSSPs, Consultants, etc.) business owners and team leads; and those charged with implementing the requirements (e.g., CCPs and RPs), attendees can hear from experts on topics such as:

  • A structured, multi-phase approach to implementing CMMC
  • How to find and evaluate an RPO and C3PAO
  • Getting your arms (and brain) around CUI
  • Building a business around CMMC services
  • Addressing the controls organizations most often miss
  • And much more!

We will also feature an off the record “Ask us Anything” session where the audience can ask business, compliance, CMMC, and other questions of the panelists.

There is a lot of misinformation out there. That is why we have hand-selected the presenters for CIC2023. Our presenters include current and former DoD DIBCAC assessors, DoD CISOs, leaders of Authorized CMMC C3PAOs, Provisional Assessors and Provisional Instructors, former members of the CyberAB Board of Directors, and other highly-qualified individuals.

Pre-Conference CCP and CCA Training Sessions Available

Best of all, your team members who qualify can take Certified CMMC Assessor and Certified CMMC Professional training at pre-conference events (for an additional fee), and then attend the conference to help solidify their learning.
