How much will a Maturity Level X assessment cost?
It depends (you can’t be surprised by that answer!). If the organization is small, properly prepared, and being assessed against Maturity Level 1, the assessment might be conducted by a single assessor who only requires a day or two of preparation, a day on site to conduct the assessment, plus a day to prepare the corresponding Assessment Report. By contrast, a larger environment spread across multiple sites and being assessed against Maturity Level 3 may require an Assessment Team comprised of multiple Assessors and the preparation, on-site, and reporting times are likely to significantly increase compared to a small ML1 assessment. The more complex the environment being assessed, and the higher the Maturity Level, the more expensive the assessment is likely to be.
